|
Seminoma is the most common malignancy that occurs in undescended testis. It presents with unusual symptoms due to the anatomical position of the tumor. Herein, we present a case of seminoma developed in abdominal cryptorchid testis associated with torsion. The patient was a 33 year-old male presenting with diffuse lower abdominal pain that occurred 12 hours ago. Computed tomography revealed a well-circumscribed large mass just above the bladder with enlarged appendix. Upon the exploratory laparotomy, the mass was 10×8×6cm in size and torsed in 540 degrees clockwise. We performed radical orchiectomy and the pathologic diagnosis was consistent with pure seminoma confined to testis. The patient underwent prophylactic postoperative irradiation under diagnosis of stage I seminoma. There was no relapse until postoperative 15 months.
